About This Project
A client noticed that several important pages of their WordPress website were not appearing in Google search results at all. When checked in Google Search Console, the Coverage Report showed a significant number of pages listed under “Page Not Indexed” errors — meaning Google was either unable to crawl these pages or was actively being told not to index them. This was directly hurting the website’s visibility, organic traffic, and search rankings.
I performed a thorough technical SEO audit using Google Search Console’s URL Inspection Tool and Coverage Report to identify every page that was failing to get indexed and diagnose the exact reason for each error. The issues ranged from accidental noindex tags left in page settings, incorrect robots.txt rules blocking Googlebot from crawling key pages, missing or broken XML sitemap, canonical tag errors pointing pages to wrong URLs, and pages with “Crawled — Currently Not Indexed” status needing a content quality boost and re-submission. I fixed every issue one by one, submitted an updated sitemap, and used the URL Inspection Tool to request indexing for all affected pages. Within 48 hours, all pages were successfully indexed and began appearing in Google search results.
